Richard Hammond is seriously ill in hospital after a crash in a jet-powered car.
He was filming for the new series of Top Gear at the former RAF airfield in Elvington, near York.
The 36-year-old presenter was taken by air ambulance to Leeds General Infirmarys neurological unit. A spokesman for the hospital described Richards condition as stable.
The crash will be investigated by the Health and Safety Executive and the BBC....
