...the "scene") converted to x264 in mkvs. Maybe that is the secret: some awesome encoding program can "fix" them by re-encoding to x264. Handbrake sure can't seeing how it relies on ffmpeg. Just wanted to resurrect this thread as I have come across another BlyRay which is encoded at 1080i50 VC1. Its the new BBC Life series. I have tried lots of windows and Mac software to try and get this to play but no joy. Like poofyhairguy said, I too have found this BBC series available as a 720p download and the video has been converted to x264 so it must be possible to play/open and convert it. Anybody have any ideas on how it can be done?

Could you post a screencap of one of the shows your having trouble with? I would like to test it on my end. I've added an episode of the fictitious BBC Series "Wildlife Specials". It is not a series per se, but a collection of special broadcasts, listed by theTVdb under "Wildlife Specials". The series was scraped with one "episode" missing (S01E06) as can be seen in sc1. I've added episode S01E06 to the source folder, quit and restart PLEX, which is set to update library at startup. S01E06 is not added to the library. It requires going thru "refresh all...

Thanks, that worked nicely. Next question, the BBC series "Natural World" has seasons 2006 and 2007 etc, and I have a show from episode 2 of 2006. I Created a folder of "Natural World", which contains a folder "Season 2006", and in there I have my file named "Natural World - S2006E02.mpeg". Plex recognized the series, but shows 0 episodes. Any hint how to deal with this? Maybe Plex only recognizes 2 digit seasons?

I'm trying to add the BBC series "Merlin" from 2008. However the scraper say's it's the mini-series from 1998. I've created a tvshow.nfo and stored it in the root of a directory named "Merlin (2008)". I contains this URL http://thetvdb.com/?...&id=83123&lid=7, which is very correct. What to do?

Temat: Remote, Scraping And Other Questions
Easiest way to fix the scraping for me usually was to just make it a habit to add the publication year in brackets behind the show name in the folder title. He should instantly get it right, then. It doesn't always work unfortunately. I recently added new BBC series, called "Life" (New David Attenborough documentary). Now, there are multitude of other shows with the same name, so I was sure to include year as well. In my case, it became "Life (2009)". However, the scraper still picked the wrong show. I am a bit stuck with this, since I've no idea how to correct it. If anyone has a clue on what to do in cases like this one, I'd certainly appreciate it.
